How to select products for enrichment in HG for Salesforce

HG Insights tracks nearly 12 thousand products that can be selected for enrichment in HG For Salesforce, this guide will assist in the selection process. 

Here are 3 ways to select which products are the best fit for your needs.

1) The Data Assessment tool available within the HG for Salesforce package allows you to search for products tracked by HG Insights and perform a match assessment so you know exactly what your match rate will be. Part of the assessment process is selecting which products we track that will be matched up to your SFDC instance, so this process helps clarify exactly what we are tracking today.

2) HG Insights produces a monthly product catalog for all the products we track, which provides an offline (excel) means to select products. Please speak with your HG Insights sales representative for access to our product catalog.

3) https://discovery.hgdata.com/ is our data discovery engine that is an interactive way to search products, vendors, and categorizations that HG tracks and which you can select from for activation in HG for Salesforce. 



Navigating the HG Product, Vendor & Category Taxonomy

The HG Insights Product Taxonomy is a hierarchy in which products are assigned to a vendor, which are assigned to categories, and the categories are grouped in Parent Categories. 

As an example, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the product, listed under Amazon Web Services, Inc. the vendor, assigned to the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) category, and grouped in the Cloud Services parent category. 

HG Insights licenses access to Products in HG for Salesforce, so be certain to select at the product level when choosing what you will be activating in HG For Salesforce.
