Connecting Your Salesforce in the HG Platform

Please make sure to complete the steps outlined in Installing the HG Insights Managed Package.  The managed packaged must be installed in the org before being connected to the HG Platform.

When you arrive at the HG Platform you should see the Salesforce Integration tab in the left-hand nav.  If you don't see this, please contact your CSM for access.

First, you will be asked if you'd like to add HG data to a Production or Sandbox organization.  You'll be able to add and mange multiple integrations through the Platform.

After selecting the org type Salesforce admin will need to log into their account. They will also need to allow access to your Salesforce organization.

Once allowed access, you'll be prompted to configure your settings.

Here, you can select whether you'd like us to automatically sync HG data to your Salesforce organization.  If enabled, we'll review your org on a nightly cadence, match any new Accounts or Leads, and enrich all HG data with technology install information.  We'll also ensure that as our data updates, these changes are reflected automatically in your org.

You can also select whether you're writing to Accounts and/or Leads.

Once complete, click Continue, and the matching process will begin. 

While the matching process is happening, you're able to select which products you'd like to see matched data to.

Once the matching process is complete, you will receive an email and be able to see the number of matched companies, not matched companies, and a timestamp of when the data was last updated.

When you're ready to start enriching data, select Sync Salesforce in the top right - you must have at least one product selected to enable this button.  This step is necessary to kick off the initial enrichment, but if you opt into auto sync we'll keep it updated going forward.

To add more Salesforce orgs, or to swap between ones you've already added, select the caret next to your org name.  Clicking the three-dot menu to the right will also allow you to rename your org.
